Baptism of Our Lord

This morning's altar flowers are donated to the Glory of God for blessings received by Bob Riekert.

The January-June 2019 hospitality sign-up sheet is on the link table. Please consider signing up to host one or two Sunday morning coffee hours for your church family.

Our annual chili cook-off is set for Sunday, January 27 at 5:30 pm in the parish hall. A sign-up sheet is on the link table to help coordinate efforts for this yearly event.

Next Sunday, January 20, all are invited to join the Croton interfaith community as we join together to honor Dr. Martin Luther King by developing strategies for building peace while standing against hateful speech and actions. All will gather at St. Augustine's Episcopal church at 12:30 for a keynote address and then move to Holy Name of Mary church for breakout sessions in building unity, developing faith-based community leadership, and raising awareness about the concerns of our community.

Pastor is leading a Bible study on the Acts of the Apostles on Tuesday nights at 7:00 pm. All are invited to attend.

During the Advent season, our Sunday school youth worked to raise $715 to buy a farm including seeds, animals, irrigation, and education through the ELCA's Good Gifts program. We are delighted to announce that we have received gifts totaling more twice this amount, all of which will go through Good Gifts to support agricultural programs in many countries of the world. We thank everyone whose contributions helped our youth exceed their goal!

Offering envelopes for 2019 are on the link table. Please take yours home with you.

This week at Our Saviour

If you have any allergies that interfere with receiving Holy Communion, especially gluten or celiac disease, please inform the pastor. We have gluten-free wafers available.

The Flower Calendar is posted on the bulletin board in the link. Please sign up to sponsor altar flowers on the Sunday of your choice. The cost is $35. Checks should be made out to the church and designated "Altar Flowers". After the service, you may take the flowers home or contribute them to be taken to shut-ins or given to others.

Announcements must be sent to the church office by Wednesday morning for inclusion in the written "Announcements" insert of our Sunday bulletin.
