Our Saviour provides a great venue to bring our gratitude and concerns before God in worship. The service music is led by one of our two professional organists and by our choir. Worship at Our Saviour is varied throughout the church year, adjusted to provide seasonal emphases that help tell the gospel story, the story of Jesus. There is strong lay participation throughout the service.
Our worship provides a strong platform to hear God's word and receive the Holy Sacrament each week. Our service provides Good News for young and old alike.
Our Sunday worship service is followed by a coffee hour in our parish hall, where we have the opportunity to meet with friends and greet visitors.
We are thrilled to welcome our new music minister, Phill Greenland, who started with us on July 21, 2019.
Phill grew up in Florida, studying musical theater at Edison State College. He moved to New York City in 1990, where he became Youth Music Director at Central Presbyterian Church and subbed for more-than-a-few 1990s Broadway musicals you’ve never heard of. Beginning in 2001, he served as Director of Music at The Church of Gethsemane and Choral/Theatre Director at Bishop Ford High School.
Phill moved to the Adirondacks in 2008, where he served as Director of Music at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, before returning to NYC in 2012 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. Most recently, Phill served as Director of Music at Oak Tree Presbyterian Church, and as piano and theory instructor at The Institute of Music, Third Westminster Presbyterian Church.
