Stories of faith

Good day siblings in Christ,

I had the opportunity to attend the memorial for Amy this weekend. It was a very lovely gathering of neighbors with a tree planting at her home. Westchester County made a declaration to honor her as well. I am attaching pictures of the tree and the declaration.

This sermons for this Sunday and next Sunday will be faith stories from Joe and Marilyn. This is part of my project for Yale with the hope of learning to tell our stories of faith. Joe will share his story this week. He is a newer member of the congregation who came to us from his Missouri Synod congregation in Brooklyn where he was their musician for many years. He is the father of congregation member Rob and grandfather to the kids. Come hear his story of faith this weekend.

The Congregational Assessment Tool is live and I know individuals are already starting to fill it out. The link to the online survey is in my email to the congregation. There are also printed copies at the church in case you prefer to complete the survey that way.

Get ready! October 5 will be our annual yard sale. Items can be dropped off in the link for the week of the sale. We can use volunteers to help during the day as well as set up the days before and packing the days after. We begin bringing things upstairs this week, so if you are so inclined to grab a box after Sunday service from the kitchen to bring it to the link, it will help save my back.

There will be adult Bible study tonight.
