Lots of December announcements

Good day siblings in Christ,

Thank you all for being part of our annual meeting last week. It was filled with good news and excitement. We also happened to have over 40 people in worship last week too! Plus we’ve had children’s sermons for the last two weeks. So much excitement.

We begin our Advent season this Sunday. Our theme this year is “Out of the Blue” and we will once again be using Barn Goose liturgies for our spoken liturgy.

I wanted to alert our congregation to an event tomorrow. While coffee hour should be complete and everyone on the way home, note that we have a private funeral in the church tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor will need to disappear around 1:00 p.m. to ensure that he can get ready for the funeral.

This coming Saturday is our annual Christmas Fair. Setup will begin Thursday evening and continue through the end of the week. Come on out and shop for crafts, soup, and other items. We have a large number of vendors this year too. We hope you can join us.

Friday, December 12 will be our annual caroling around the Harmon area. This is an amazing event filled with music and song. We get people clapping and joining in. It is just a little Christmas cheer for the day. We don’t go far and tend to go slowly. We also have snacks when we return to church.

We are offering two opportunities to worship with us during Christmas. There is Christmas Eve at 7:00 p.m. featuring special music and communion. We WILL be having a Christmas Day service as well. Larry has graciously volunteered to play on the day. This is a looser service where you can wear jammies, Santa hats, and come to sing and rejoice. That service will be at 10:00 a.m. The annual Lessons and Carols service the Sunday after Christmas is up in the air right now and we will play it by ear.

After December 31, we may have to make some adjustments to our office hours. If we have a new office administrator, we will have hours as normal. If we do not, Pastor will be covering the office, emails, calls, and bulletin creation. Please be patient.
