Christmas

Good day siblings in Christ,

I hope everyone is enjoying this snowy weather in Westchester or enjoying a family vacation somewhere else. Just a reminder that the Christmas Eve service is at 7:00 p.m. with candles and carols. The Christmas Day service is at 10:00 a.m. with carols. Both services have traditional Christmas hymns and will be filled with the hope of the Christ child.

Here are a few announcements:

Yesterday, Melanie informed me that it was her last day as her family is in town visiting for the holiday. We will have a special coffee hour for Melanie on January 18 to say thank you for all she has done as her office administrator for 23 years. Look for details as we find an organizer for this event.

With Melanie no longer with us, we will begin searching for a new office administrator and cleaning the office up in the next few weeks. I will be acting as office administrator, so please be very patient as it is more on my plate, Mistakes will happen as we adjust. I’ve already been asked if I am making a newsletter for January and the answer I have is- I don’t know yet. I have to get through Christmas and see how my schedule adjusts. This also means office hours will be shifted from Monday through Wednesday. I am part time and am not contracted for Thursday or Friday.

January 6 will be a conference-wide Epiphany service at Grace in Yorktown at 7:00 p.m. Come join us for this special event.

We received a thank you from Croton Caring with a photo. They are so grateful to Our Saviour for allowing them to use our building and property. The photo shows how many boxes they distributed to those in Croton. As you reflect on the picture, keep in mind, each box represents a family in Croton who makes below a certain income level. There were just about 130 boxes for families with children this year, with more for adults. We are a wealthy neighborhood, but there are people who need help during this time as well.

I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. If I don’t see you, may your travels be safe and your rest refreshing.
