Holy Week preview

March 24, 2021

Good day siblings in Christ,

The first announcement, which is immediate for today, is that Bible Study will be on pause for a bit and will resume sometime after Easter. My hope is to also offer a Bible study that can be done at home in a more asynchronous way. Be on the lookout for that.

This week, we begin Holy Week starting with Palm Sunday. For those who want palms, but are choosing to stay home for worship, we will begin placing palms outside of the office door once they arrive. This way, you can swing by the church, grab some palms, and have them for Sunday.

Maundy Thursday and Good Friday will be both in person and online at 7:00 p.m. each day. Both services will be primarily geared toward the online attendees, as we imagine more people will be watching online, but you are more than welcome to attend each service.

Easter Sunday will have one service at 10 a.m. which will welcome in-person attendees and online attendees. If you are planning to come in person, please reserve a seat by using our Eventbrite link. We have limited seating for this service for safety purposes and our usher will be using a seating chart to help individuals and families find a space for worship. Half of our seats are currently taken already, so please sign up. If we can go outside, we will have lots more space to work with, but if we are indoors, we will have limited seating.

Please also remember that for all services indoors, the windows will be open to help air circulation. We recognize not everyone has been vaccinated yet, so masks are still required.

Be love,
Pastor Johnson
