Good day siblings in Christ,
We are on Christmas Pop-up Eve and a few of us right now are decorating and making the place look special. We will have some crafts, soup, baked goodies, and second-hand items for sale. In addition, a beautiful hand-made quilt will be raffled off. The fair will raise funds for the church and for two very deserving organizations:
- 10% will go to the Croton Caring Committee to support their Holiday Food Basket program.
- 10% will go to Darajani Secondary School in Marangu-Kilimanjaro, Tanzania to help with school repairs.
The raffle will begin on December 4 at the Christmas Pop-up and continue through December 12 to allow those who cannot attend the pop-up to get in on the action. Raffle tickets are $2 each or three tickets for $5. If you would like to participate by mail, please make your check out to Our Saviour Lutheran Church and write “quilt raffle” on the memo line and and be sure to get it to us by Dec. 12. We will write your name on your tickets prior to the drawing.
Just a reminder that Christmas Eve will have two services, one at 10:00 a.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. Both will have candles, Christmas music, and communion. The 10:00 a.m. service will more than likely have fewer people for those who are concerned about crowds.
