Christmas events

Good day siblings in Christ,

Tonight is a special Christmas carol walk around the neighborhood. We will sing songs to bring a little joy to the Harmon area. We gather around 6:45 p.m. and depart at 7:00 p.m. Bring a flashlight or headlamp as it will be dark out. Bring a breathable mask as we will be singing. The average distance is about 1-1.5 miles total at a very slow pace.

Christmas Eve is next week already! We will have two different services, one at 10:00 a.m. and one at 7:00 p.m. The 10:00 a.m. service will more than likely be the lighter attendance and is designed for those who also do not like to travel in the evening. There will be candles and Silent Night. At 7:00 p.m. is an evening service with our choir, singing, candles, and Silent Night. If you plan on attending the 7:00 p.m. service, our recommendation is to wear a KN95 mask. We will have 50 masks on site if you need one. The reason why is the service is longer than a Sunday morning service with a lot more singing. We just want to worship in a safer manner. Both services should be streamed.

Speaking of Christmas Eve, we will premiere a brand new Nativity set. Two years ago, our set was damaged during packing and became unusable. Thanks to a gracious donation by one of our members, a new set was purchased and it is lovely. You will see it on Christmas Eve for the first time.

As for our Christmas Day pageant, it may become an Epiphany pageant, as our practices didn’t go as initially planned. We are working on Plan B and I thank Jamie and the parents for all their hard work.

The Sunday after Christmas will be our annual Lessons and Carols service. We would welcome anyone who would like to read in church that day. A sign up sheet will be created.
