Good day siblings in Christ,
I know this week has affected many of you in a number of ways and I hope you are being present with yourself and what you need to feel. I gathered with friends the last two days to sit with them as they ponder what they will share with their congregations this Sunday. I also gathered with the Croton Pride group on Wednesday night to sit and be with the LGBTQIA+ community in Croton. I was the only clergy present and it was needed. My short message is we continue to serve in love, speak for justice, and follow the commandment of Jesus to love in the face of hatred and fear. I will speak more tomorrow.
I shared a worship roadmap for November for those interested. This week will be a regular worship service. Next week will be a day to honor Native American Heritage Month as I share my Native American story with you. Finally on Christ the King, if we have a volunteer, we will have a spiritual journey interview. If anyone would like to volunteer, please let me know. If we have more than one, I will set up the schedule for January and March then.
Our annual meeting is on November 17. Reports have been emailed and there are a few printed reports in the link. If you need another one emailed to you, please contact Melanie. The meeting will follow worship on the 17th.
December 7 is our annual Christmas Fair. We need all sorts of bakers and soup makers, volunteers and helpers, and we are accepting vendor applications right now. If you know a vendor, please contact Lois.
