Tomorrow in the Village of Croton is Summerfest from 1-6 p.m. The parade starts gathering around 12:30 p.m., so you may need an alternate route home if you need to use 129. The area around the High School and the main streets of Croton will all be closed to traffic.
The Pride flag raising is at 1 p.m. at the Croton municipal building. As an RIC congregation, it would be great to have representation there from Our Saviour. I will try my hardest to be there as I did last year. This has been a lot of work by Croton Pride to get events like this to happen.
If you are at Summerfest, I will be manning the library table from 2-3, so come by and say hi.
There is a congregational meeting on June 21 to talk about a new furnace for the Fellowship Hall and basement. This winter, we saw that the furnace is really on its last legs and I was around for a repair where I watched as fire blew from one of the places that fire is not intended to blow from. We are looking at a more sustainable heat pump which will be a higher up-front cost, but will save us money in the future and is much better for our planet than oil.
