Good day siblings in Christ,
I want to thank Pastor Allison Whitney for preaching and presiding tomorrow in worship while I am on vacation. Pastor Whitney is a good friend who has recently become fully herself in June. I invited her to be with the congregation as she is a wonderful preacher and her story is inspiring. She has come so far in the last few years as she transitions into her whole self. I hope she shares a bit of that journey with you. She will more than likely be joined by her daughter. There will likely not be a livestream tomorrow. My apologies.
I am away this week for the entire week and will be back by next Sunday. I will answer any emails or texts when I return. There will be one more vacation week in August before the Fall.
There will be a Lutheran Revival on August 20 at St Andrews in Yorktown Heights from 5:30 to 8:30. It is open to all and is appropriate for children. It is 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly as well as we are an affirming denomination. The set up will be a meal, Bible study, some testimonial time, and a worship service. Revival can be a loaded word for some, but it is less the Evangelical type revival with altar calls and calls for repentance, and more the Jesus loves you fully and wholly type revival to remind us of God’s grace and love in the world.
