A wonderful Holy Week

Good day siblings in Christ,

What a wonderful Holy Week! Thank you to all the hands that went into making it special. A big thanks to Larry for filling in on the organ and to Lori, who brought guitar music to add extra to the service. Big thanks to Lee Ann for assisting at all the services, to the altar guild who transformed the sanctuary each day, and to John and Karen for providing the yummy breakfast. It was a great week.

Next week, I will be away on retreat. I signed up for a year long leadership retreat which meets 4 times between 2 years. This is the first of those weeks. I will be unavailable to be contacted next week, so I can be in full retreat mode.

There are two ongoing Bible studies. The first is online and that is the Gospel of John. We are up to Chapter 9, but the beauty is you can go at your own pace. It is on YouTube and Facebook. The second on the Book of Revelation meets Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.. Since I am away on retreat next week and a few members of the class are away. I will be available tonight for a review/question session. We might not get to new material tonight, but it is a good time to ask questions, catch up, ask for a better understanding, etc. That is in person or on Zoom.

Finally, some have asked if we are going outside again for worship. The answer is yes. Many enjoyed the worship experience outside and it felt a bit more intimate. This will also help with rising Covid numbers and cooling costs. More than likely we will start after Mother’s Day and we may go back and forth depending on the weather.
