Good day siblings in Christ,
Thank you everyone who helped at Croton Fest this weekend. Thank you to Marilyn for the beautiful quilt. We had a winner from Croton Fest and are awaiting the winner to return our call. We raised $300 to give to help the hungry being bussed from Texas and Florida. Thank you all!
This Sunday will be two big events! We begin our Reconciling in Christ vote this weekend. You can either vote in person or email your response to me. We are saying yes or no to the question- “Our Saviour should be a reconciling in Christ congregation affirming the love of God for all people. We believe 2SLGBTQIA individuals and families are loved by God and will be welcomed at Our Saviour. We will continue to strive against racism and continue to grow as an anti-racist community.” This will be for two Sundays and the week in between. Voting can begin now!
The second event is at 2:00 p.m. at Temple Israel. Registration is required to attend. It is to honor the work of Lorraine Hansberry and a speech she gave in 1963. Our Saviour was one of several congregations to sign on to support Black voting rights. This event we will recommit ourselves to supporting the rights of Black communities.
