Thank you Deacon Lee Ann for preaching and leading the service last week while I was on vacation. Thank you also to all who braved the storm and went to the Lutheran revival service.
Our Synod just announced there will be a 25th anniversary 9-11 service on Long Island at Good Shepherd in Plainview at 7:00 p.m. If you want a more local commemoration, there is one at 4:00 p.m. by the 9-11 memorial in Croton. I have once again been asked to lead the prayers at the local event.
As shared earlier, our bulletins were produced before I went on vacation and then Sarah went on vacation the following week. Thus some of the announcements need to be changed. The first is that First Communion will not be on September 27, but will be sometime in the future due to my upcoming surgery. The blessing of the quilts and kits will take place on September 6 during the worship service. We can use some help bringing up quilts this Sunday. They will be set up by another group, so we just need a hand getting them upstairs.
